Learning to Live with Patience

Well, we’re here safely, but it didn’t exactly happen smoothly…
Nine years ago, Scott was ready to leave for the mission field…
…but he had to finish college.
Four years ago, Scott was ready to leave for the mission field…
…but he stayed to marry Bethany…
…who had to finish college.
Two years ago, we were both ready to leave for the missions field…
…but we had to raise support and get a plan together…
Yesterday, we were REALLY ready to leave for the missions field. We had all our bags, people lined up to pick us up, and had taken off from Atlanta…

“Ladies and Gentleman, this is your captain speaking. We’re having problems with the air conditioning that can’t be fixed in Managua. We’ll be back in Atlanta in about an hour.”
Thankfully, Delta was great and they bought us lunch and arranged a special flight to get us to Nicaragua. We arrived 6 hours later than expected, but celebrating the fact that even when things suddenly change, God has been teaching us to be patient and trust in him. We were welcomed warmly by the Espinozas, and are starting to get settled in here. Thanks for all your prayers and support!
